Lauren Martin Sweet Sixteen Photo Shoot

Turning 16 is a special event in anyone's life. It is the transformation of being a kid and turning into an adult. I was asked by Lauren's parents to take her Sweet Sixteen portraits for her upcoming celebration. Needless to say that was easy to do since Lauren is such a lovely young lady both inside and out. What I loved about Lauren was her personality and luckily I was able to document that in her portraits.

Joyce Jones Quinceanera

The history of Quinceañera dates back to the Aztecs, at approximately 500BC. The word Quinceañera, is made up of two parts: quince (fifteen) and anera or anos (year). Literally translated to fifteen years, it refers to a girl’s fifteenth birthday.

I had the pleasure of taking Ms. Jones' formal portraits for her upcoming Quinceanera in a few weeks. Here is a collection of the great shots we took at the McNay Museum.
