What happens when you plan a February wedding in Texas… unpredictable weather is usually the course. Over the past couple of weeks the weather here has been as miss matched as any.. during the week it is cold, bordering on a freeze any given night, gray skies, rainy and then the past two weekends have been unseasonably warm and sunny. Needless to say I was prepared for anything, especially since Rebecca told me it was an outdoor wedding. I figured there is was no way we were going to have another sun filled weekend. All I can say is thank God we do live in Texas and that day the weather could not have been more cooperative, even the winds and pollen took a break from agitating all us Texans. Now enough with the unpredictable Texas weather and onto the wedding.
I first met Rebecca and Jerry through Rebecca’s brother whose son is my son’s best friend. I did their Christmas pictures a year back and when Rebecca told me that her and Jerry were getting married she immediately told me that she wanted me to be their photographer. I was honored to say the least. Now here is where the fun and complicated part comes in... in July I found out I was going to have another baby and by the time the wedding took place, I was going to be in my 8th month. UGH!!! So, before I go any further, I must acknowledge my sincere and heartfelt thanks, love, etc. to my loving husband Douglas who was my assistant and for the most part took over as the lead photographer for this event (all I can really say is thankfully his father is a professional photographer and Doug paid attention and learned the tricks of the trade) once he realized that I was in some amount of discomfort given my pregnancy.

To Rebecca and Jerry, all I can say is it was a lovely wedding and our best wishes to you guys. May the years hold countless new adventures and may you always rediscover daily what drew you to each other and may your love for one another continue to grow each and every day for years to come.
